Multi-threaded by default
Work is spread across cores with rayon, so a full sweep finishes in seconds instead of walking the disk one file at a time.
Cross Cleaner removes temporary files, caches and leftover system junk. It ships as a native window app and as a terminal app, and it builds for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android — x86_64 and arm64 alike.
One portable file per platform, with no runtime to install and no background service left behind.

Critical system files are protected. Clean entries are hand-maintained per platform and reviewed before they ship.
Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, each with its own program database, plus native arm64 builds on Windows and Linux.
The GUI is egui; the TUI is ratatui and runs anywhere a shell does. Same engine, same database, your choice of surface.
Binaries check the release feed and replace themselves in place. The Windows installer is skipped during an in-app update, since it needs elevation.
Every list is a plain JSON file you can edit or extend. Programs, registry entries and paths all live in open catalogs.
All links point at the newest published release, so they never go stale. No account, no installer required.
Windows on x64 and on Arm are separate downloads. The arm64 setup installs in 64-bit mode and refuses to run on x64, so an Arm machine upgrades cleanly from the x64 installer.
Linux builds are portable: download one file, mark it executable and run it. Audio needs ALSA headers only if you build from source.
macOS is arm64 only. The app is unsigned and not notarized, so Gatekeeper will ask before the first launch.
One APK covering every Android ABI. It lists apps and their caches to clear, and cannot update itself in place.
Pick the window app for a quick sweep, or the terminal app when you live in a shell.
The release profile trades a little throughput for a noticeably smaller executable. Nothing here is bound tightly enough for that to show.
Every program Cross Cleaner knows about is listed in the repository, so you can read exactly what gets removed before running anything.
